In my search for more information about Belize I found a site that listed Belize as a middle income country whhich is contrary to to third world image I gave it in my first post. You Better Belize It

Having recently traveled to Belize, I discovered that it is a place that has many things to teach people from all over the world. Belize is considered a third world country by many but I consider it to be a rare and wonderful place. This blog will be used to share the new things that I have learned about this place and invite others to add their own discoveries. My major concern however, is creating a tourist information sight rather than a study of a country that has the potential to experience the negative side of tourism that has plauged the Yucatan. High rise condominiums and fancy hotels have displaced native people in many countries around the world. These concerns will be addressed in this blog and people who have the same concerns are welcome to contribute perspectives that might enlighten those of us who choose to visit Belize.
